Equator Crossing Swimming Event
1. Purpose
These Terms of Service govern participation in the Equator Crossing swimming event.
2. Eligibility
Minimum age 16; ages 16-17 only with written parental consent.
3. Registration & Fees
Registration closes 1 March 2026. Fees are non-refundable except if canceled by organizers.
4. Safety & Conduct
Follow staff instructions. Mandatory equipment: swimming buoy, goggles, swimming hat.
5. Risks & Liability
Swimming across equatorial waters involves risks. Participants assume full responsibility. Waiver required.
6. Event Changes & Cancellation
Organizers may change route, schedule, or format due to safety/weather. Refunds at discretion.
7. Media & Privacy
Participation implies consent for use of image, voice, and name in event media.
8. Governing Law
Governed by the laws of São Tomé and Príncipe. Disputes resolved in São Tomé courts.
9. Acceptance
By registering, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
