Our Story

Since 2022, we’ve been discovering the essence of São Tomé. Today, we open its doors to you.

For four years, we returned again and again to São Tomé and Príncipe. We allowed ourselves to be inspired by the sea in its endless shades of blue, by the aroma of cocoa and vanilla, by hidden coves, tropical flavours, and by the authenticity of a people who, through their simplicity, resilience and joy, remind us every day of the true meaning of life.

After four years exploring this destination, we believe the moment has come to open these experiences to those who seek much more than a trip. We explored every corner, every crossing, every story and every encounter to create an authentic experience where adventure, nature, well‑being and culture merge into one.

The Equator Crossing Expedition is an invitation to discover São Tomé through the sea, nature, its people, and a unique event.

Over the course of a week, you will swim in crystal‑clear waters, symbolically cross the Equator Line, explore wild beaches, hidden coves and landscapes of rare beauty, while enjoying moments of well‑being through Yoga sessions and Aquatic Relaxation, always in perfect harmony with nature.

But the true essence of this expedition lies in its people. You will meet a group of young Santomeans who are bringing to life the country’s first open‑water swimming club, in the city of São Tomé, and you will visit a small surf club in the remote south of the island. Stories of courage, hope and determination that reveal how sport can transform lives and create opportunities.

Along the way, you’ll encounter small fishing ports, colourful markets, the aroma of freshly dried cocoa, waterfalls that plunge into the sea, almost untouched beaches, and children with easy smiles who turn every encounter into an unforgettable memory. Because discovering São Tomé also means understanding the story of its people, their challenges, and their extraordinary ability to find happiness in simplicity.

At dawn, you will wake to the sound of the ocean. You will swim through different shades of blue, feel the warmth of the tropical sun, savour local cuisine, and discover that sometimes all it takes is slowing down to reconnect with what truly matters.
